Jewel- “I Do”

After hitting the Top 20 with “Stronger Woman,” Jewel is back with second country single entitled “I Do.”  This song is a little bit slower than “Stronger Woman” and allows Jewel’s signature vocals to be in full display.  The song is the typical “woman trying to convince man to take the next step” song.  I definitely see this song being Jewel’s second straight Top 20 single.  I actually think she might be able to squeak into the Top 10 with it, but that all depends on if people pick this one up like they did “Stronger Woman.”  Unfortunately for “Stronger Woman,” it peaked in popularity really soon and just couldn’t get over that hump to get out of the Top 15 into the Top 10.

I think Jewel made a great decision to try out Country Music and I am hoping she sticks with it.  She’s always sounded country to me, enough so that I bought her Pieces of You album a decade ago.
