Zac Brown Band- “Chicken Fried”

Talk about a song that’s stereotypical country…but that really doesn’t detract from the charm of the song.  This is one of those “this is who I am” songs with a hint of southern pride.  The charm to the song is that Zac Brown connects so well with the lyrics and doesn’t have to strain to come across as real.  It’s a really laid back song that just sounds good.  I haven’t heard it on the radio yet, but I’m sure that I will eventually.  I definitely think that this will get airplay because it’s a summer-feeling song.  However, I don’t see it having enough substance to get beyond the Top 30.  The laid back feeling could be the downside of the single, but at least it’s not going to annoy everyone.
