Toby Keith- “She Never Cried In Front of Me”

This is a classic “I never saw her hurting” song where the woman has moved on and is no longer within the singer’s reach.  This song is a little different sounding for Toby, but over the years he has always sounded different on each of his singles, but has always kept the same “Toby” attitude, which is why a lot of people like him.

This is going to be another in a long list of big hits for Toby.  If you look done the list, you can see that he doesn’t do the same song frequently.  I would say the last time he did a “painful love lost” song that wasn’t “goofy” (“Big Blue Note” was a love lost song but it was a little goofy) was 1999’s “When Love Fades” (a song not too many people may know).  He’s done love ballads, bar songs, hot woman songs, and attitude songs over his career, all with his signature attitude.  I see this one becoming another Top 10 for Toby.  It could potentially make the Top 5, but I don’t know if it’s got the right stuff to go that far with all the summery material out right now (and that summery material seems to hang onto the top spots of the charts well into October every year).

Prediction- Top 10
